  • airport development
  • noise pollution
  • light pollution
  • tranquillity
  • managed landscape, including trees and hedgerows
  • protection of rivers and wetlands
  • services for rural communities (post offices, shops, schools etc)
  • location of suitable employment in rural areas
  • sustainable farming and local food networks
  • renewable energy
  • ..... and more!
Our ability to pursue campaigns is limited only by the numbers and expertise of volunteers who work with us. To that extent, our agenda is driven by the interests of our active volunteers as well as by our objectives and policies.

Active involvement provides an excellent way for you to pursue a particular interest or cause with the back-up and support of a well-regarded organisation.   You do not have to be an expert  or professional campaigner, but we do want your knowledge and commitment .   You don't always need to start out as an expert, and it's surprising how quickly people can get on top of some unfamiliar subjects.

We have a form you can download, complete and send back to us by email, fax or post (details below).  Or simply tell us what you're interested in, using any of those contaxt methods.   We can then discuss with you how best to proceed.

Email us to offer your help or for further information.
